- QUALITY ASSURANCE – Our Shimano Acera FD-M290 Bottom pull front derailleur is a perfect replacement part for your ride. It has a wide parallelogram for faster switching and greater durability.
- INSTALLATION – When replacing a front mech always check the diameter of the seat tube for the mech clamp to fit to (this is derailleur has a 28.6mm clamp). Once attached you will need to fit the gearing cable and index both front and rear mech to work with the gears smoothly. Please make sure your gearing cable comes from the bottom as this is a bottom pull mech.
- COMPATIBILITY – The M290 mech is ideal for vintage shimano 5 speed gear systems or todays 6 or 7 speed gear systems. Weighing in at only 150 grams is will help keep the weight down but not hinder reliability, sis compatible/ original shimano factory production stock that has never been fitted to a bike. Suitable for double or triple chainsets up to a 42 tooth cog
